ABOUT ME

Since my message is about combining the theory and the practice of organizational leadership it should be useful to explore how I have made these connections in my own industry career.  Below you will find a few highlights of my career that I connected to the existing leadership literature to generalize the lessons for other leaders and published the results in conference proceedings. The specific leadership challenges include leading an interdisciplinary design team, leading the turnaround of a financially distressed business, and creating an effective new product development program where none previously existed.

Also on this page you will find brief summaries of my areas of research interest: corporate venture capital, the transition from individual contributor to first line manager, and the management of autistic employees.
