Autism in the workplace
Neurodiversity is defined as people whose minds work differently than "typical" and usually is meant to include the autism spectrum, Asperger's syndrome and even attention deficit disorder

There is an 80% unemployment or underemployment rate among this population despite many of them possessing what autism researcher Francesca Happe refers to as "deep specific skills".

I believe that part of the solution is to recognize that front-line leadership needs to modify their supervisory approach to lead these employees so that they can effectively contribute to organizational outcomes based on their deep specific skills.
I have developed a workshop to help front-line supervisors explore this challenge. This workshop as been used to help front line supervisors to successfully meet this challenge.
